   If it’s only $425.00 why even bother to claim this on your insurance. Hell, your deductible is probably $500.00 anyway. Your insurance will only go up making frivolous claims. Wait for a real emergency.

   That’s difficult, do to what you have stated. If the plumbing was prior to your purchase, you may have a comprehensive claim. If the insurance says the damage of a leak is covered as a flood, and you don’t carry flood insurance and/or not eligible, then that’s the insurance company’s way out. Have to agree also with “paper”, take into consideration your deductible.
